SPECIAL OPERATIONS
Light-heartedly dubbed our Special Operations Dept, here are some of the other services we offer. You might have read elsewhere that we love working with Photoshop and some of the best challenges come when we’re asked to restore photos or create composites from multiple images.
REALISTIC COMPOSITING
After attending her daughter’s wedding, our UK cousin discovered that the official photographer had missed three important shots.
Firstly there wasn’t a photo of the bride with Mum and Dad, so we managed to create one!
We slotted him in along with a revised background. The bride’s dress was reshaped and her left arm was modified by copying small sections from other donor images.
Once again, Dad had missed out in this photo so the previous source image of him and his background was dropped in and the bride’s arm and her dress were carefully adjusted.
The trick is to find images with similar backgrounds and lighting, we were certainly lucky in this instance!
By far the most difficult edit was this final image where we had to replace the groom with four other people sourced from various photos. The three youngsters on the right were sourced from one photo and the young lady on the left from another. Her dress had to be added from yet another source as originally someone was standing slightly in front of her!
VIDEOS
Over the years we’ve created many videos for commercial clients, even a few wedding videos, but this was something quite different.
SONG COVER CHALLENGE
During the Coronavirus lockdown we were asked to create two videos for a friend who wanted to create special birthday gifts for relatives who would be celebrating big birthdays in isolation.
She had organised two groups of mates to record themselves singing along to a song and it turned out to be quite a saga to synchronise everyone!
We’re pretty pleased with the results so let us know if you have a similar project in mind, it’s a fun challenge!
